Syllabus for Ecopsychology & Ecotherapy
What is the "wild soul?" What is "rewilding?"
Do I need it? How do I create it?
Do I need it? How do I create it?
In this class, you will engage with the more than human world and your wild soul. You'll learn tools and processes,
as well as develop your own unique and intuitive approach, to become free and help free the Earth.
Ecopsychology — Creating a balanced view that includes all species and features of the Earth, with dedication to the wholeness of the Earth. Ecospirituality — The sensed divine interbeing of the intricate web of all life, here on earth and throughout existence.
It emanates from a non-human-centered perspective, honoring the conscious being of all life--whether that of plant, microbe, animal, human, fungus, rock, heavenly body--emphasizing the inherent sacredness of all that makes up the universe.
On our beautiful blue earth, it aligns human interests with the essence of Mamma Gaia and all their inhabitants as a divine expression. Eco-Magic — Practices and rituals for creating a mystical connection with nature and the universe. |
Ecotherapy — Creating and applying processes and tools for healing the human psyche, as well as the psyche of the more-than-human world. Anthropocene — This particular time in the history of the world has come to be called the Anthropocene from the Greek word, anthropo, meaning human being, for the impact our species has on the whole world.
Many human societies on the earth focus mostly on the human species.
Research shows that humans are happier when our scope and experience includes all the world, what ecologist and philosopher, David Abram, termed the "more-than-human world." |
