1. Gauge your state of mind/mood before/during a meeting or task by pulling a single card to interpret.
Consider that what the card means for you at the time is a mirror of your current inner state. This way, you tap into your present mood and/or subconscious.
2. Hone your intuition. Pull one or several cards and engage with them in a way that has you listening to your inner wisdom and, alternatively to your body, rather than the thoughts that run through your mind.
3. Personification: Based on a card you pull, ask to speak to, and thereby give voice to an aspect of yourself that doesn’t often get to come out and play or take the lead.
Often you’ll hear from the one who wants to rest or play more.
4. Circle of protection. Lay down a card in every direction. Ask it to tell you how it will protect you.
What comes to your mind will be an expression of what is important to you at the time.
5. Writing prompt. Lay down as many cards as you feel called and create a story that weaves them together.
Use as a starting point for an article, essay, story or journal entry.
6. De-stress. Pull a card and free-associate a story to take your mind to a place, other than what is bothering or overly preoccupying you.
7. Calm your mind. Select a card that speaks to you at the moment. Take a closer look at it. Close your eyes and visualize what you saw. If it changes change in the process, you may follow its guidance.
