Symbolism & Mythology in the Mystic's Tarot & Oracle Cards

The American philosopher and mythologist, Joseph Campbell, said that mythologies and their symbols are humanity's way to express in language what we don’t have words for--the experience of a higher reality and of our own secret divine and earth-based wisdoms that bring with them the awareness that everything exists interconnectedly (like Indra's Net). The Tarot is so meaningful in providing illumination and whole-making because it's enriched with the fruits of centuries--across many cultures--of such symbol-making.
The MTOC is so fruitful because it acknowledges us as part of Mama Gaia's world in kinship with all other life.
​The Tarot speaks to us on all levels, the world of sensation, materiality & abundance (Earth), of emotion, psychology & spirituality (Water), vision, action & transformation (Fire) and the world of communication, intellect & metaphysics (Air).
Everything exists and occurs in relationship with each other (interbeing) and the Tarot is a system that provides access to, and synthesis of, this relationship, rendering the fog that often surrounds us translucent and illuminated by the light of divine connection and the succor of Mama Gaia. It's a beautiful, beautiful thing.

FAQs

I don't think I'm psychic. Can I still learn to read the Tarot?

Most people have the ability within them to learn to read the Tarot.
​All you need is the ​willingness to be open. Reading the Tarot is to a large degree about connecting with your inborn ability to make sense of symbols and using them to access your own deeper knowing. It's also a matter of developing and learning to trust your intuition. It involves becoming familiar with your higher self.
You are a physical embodiment of the divine, already connected with the highest reality and the cards can become a way to access this divine wisdom.

Why would I learn the Tarot?

When you learn to connect with the Tarot, you can cut through the internal noise
​and mental chatter and gain clarity on any issue.
It is a marvelous tool for working with your inner guidance system to field life's challenges.
​It is an instrument of mediation that can connect you with divine reality.

What is the Tarot deck about? ​

Human beings by nature, have a deep affinity for symbols and images. The Tarot provides such symbols and images. In this workshop, you will learn an intelligent and holistic framework that reflects back your thoughts, feelings, dreams, and wishes, giving you insights and trust in your own ability to read the Tarot in a unique way. ​

What if I can't figure it out?

You don't learn the Tarot by "figuring it out" but by allowing yourself to tap into your intuition and embark on a journey of discovery. The way this workshop teaches the Tarot, you immediately and naturally make a uniquely personal connection. As soon as you engage with it, you can draw from it insights and guidance.
