The Journey of Seasons
As the journey flows, it experiences the cycle of the seasons.
CARD DESCRIPTION: Mama Gaia’s four seasons are presided over by the heavenly directions. In the center, we see the light-giving sun surrounded by the planets of our Solar system. In the spring, a cherry tree blooms. A rabbit rests in its shade. A tiny squirrel sniffs its way to summer to meet a porcupine foraging at the bottom of an apple tree. Robins and Steller’s jays play in the trees. More trees, this time in glossy yellows, oranges and reds, stand in an autumn park. Fat pumpkins await Halloween. Snow-decked mountains rise into a winter-blue sky. A stag stands, still and proud, before a house nestled into winter pines. Snow gently falls.
These questions and answers are only places to start from/gain inspiration from.
SITTING WITH THIS CARD: As you feel into these seasonal scenes, what surfaces? What does your heart say?
Sitting with this card, I think about how much I used to resist winter in the Pacific Northwest (after living in Florida) and how unhelpful resistance is. Because what goes up must come down, what goes round, comes around. I want to emulate natural world and recognize the flow of things.

WHEN YOU FEEL OUT INTO THE WORLD: Does Seasons take on a different meaning?
When I feel out into the world, this cards changes a lot. It impels me to have compassion for how difficult change can be for people, whether internal, or needing to adapt to changes around them
WHEN YOU DRAW THIS CARD: Might it invite you to ponder your relationship with change?
When I draw this card, it reminds I can always make changes. But first, I need to be with what is so I can discover what I want to do about it.
YOU CAN ALSO ASK: Do I play favorites with life and how does that affect me and the world around me?
I ask myself how willing am I to be flexible.
