The Mystic's Tarot™
~Guide Book~
A deck for all people that honors all of life as sentient and soulful.
The Mystic's Tarot combines the earthiness of physical reality with divine, meta reality. It advances the viewpoint that all life is self-aware and participates in profound connection with each other. It represents all aspects of nature: land and sea, animals, flora, fauna, and humans of various ages, body shapes, genders, cultures, ethnicities, races, and abilities. It has the mystic's viewpoint that nothing and no one is lesser and all of life is family.
Check back now and then. I post new cards as I complete them.

Symbolism & Mythology in the Tarot

The American philosopher and mythologist, Joseph Campbell, said that mythologies and their symbols are humanity's way to express what we don’t have words for--the experience of a higher reality and of our own secret wisdom that brings with it the awareness that everything exists interconnectedly (like Indra's Net). The Tarot is so meaningful in providing illumination and whole-making because it's enriched with the fruits of centuries--across many cultures--of such symbol-making.
The Tarot speaks to us on all levels, the world of sensation, materiality & abundance (Earth), of emotion, psychology & spirituality (Water), vision, action & transformation (Fire) and the world of communication, intellect & metaphysics (Air).
Everything exists and occurs in relationship with each other (interbeing) and the Tarot is a system that provides access to, and synthesis of, this relationship, rendering the fog that often surrounds us translucent and illuminated by the light of divine connection. It's a beautiful, beautiful thing.
