Seattleite Lilla, a lesbian with deep roots in the landscape of the Pacific Northwest is ready to get back out there after nursing her mom back to health. When she meets Sydney, she instantly recognizes her soulmate. And Lilla being Lilla, she goes after what she wants. Sydney, a nonbinary US diplomat working on ocean restoration in far-off, tropical Bellegovia, has buried trauma from early childhood that keeps them running from one climate project to the next with no space for love. They may be highly successful, but they don't have the first clue about what their soul needs. When the two are brought together by mysterious celestials, they discover that they have in common what matters most to each: Mad love for the Earth. They also can't keep their hands off each other.
